Adams spielte an der Azusa Pacific University und wurde mit seinem Team 2016 und 2018 Great Nortwest Athletic Conference – Division II Champion. Seine College Stats waren mit 91 Receptions, 1345 Yards, 10 Touchdowns herausragend. Außerdem nahm er am Camp der Las Vegas Raiders teil. Mit den Graz Giants wurde er in der AFL Season 2021 der leading Receiver der Liga, mit 43 Receptions, 12 receiving Touchdowns, 1.017 receiving Yards und 450 Kick return Yards.

Darrell Adams über die neuen Herausforderungen bei den Giants: “ I’m more than excited to announce my return to Graz Giants. All I could think about when I left to the U.S. was those 3 points we lost by in the semi final and it left a bitter taste. I felt like we had more work to do.  I felt I had to come back for another go at it because we got unfinished business!!!!
